Secure backup as a service

Secure backup

A backup is used to protect you against disasters – everything from ransomware, sabotage, fire or water leaks. If you are exposed to an attack or physical disaster, it is not only your data that is at risk, but your entire business.

Backup as a Service – also called Backup as a Service – ensures continuous protection of the data you store in server rooms or in cloud services.

How does secure backup work?

Secure backup gives you daily backup of physical or virtual servers and PCs. Backups take place automatically and are monitored by our operations staff - whether you choose local backup or with an operations provider.

If recovery is needed, this can take place to both physical and virtual machines. Recovery can take place all the way down to table level for SQL databases, and individual emails, files, etc.

Part of our monitoring platform

With the backup system Rubrik, we monitor, analyze and handle security incidents for our customers. For this, we use a so-called orchestration tool that automatically collects data from the systems the customer uses 24/7.

If the tool detects suspicious activity, the alarm is triggered. Secure backup is part of this tool, which means that if a backup fails, the alarm is triggered inside the tool.

S3 storage: Simple integration with your data

The golden rule in backup is 3-2-1; 3 copies of your data, on 2 different media and 1 copy at another location. With Immutable S3 archiving to our data center, you get an "off site" archive on Norwegian soil.

It is very easy to get started with external storage (S3). All you need as a customer is a URL and an access key, and you are ready to go.
